So now that Valentines day is over, what are we looking forward to? I think I am getting pumped for leap day. How could you not? It’s an extra day we get once every four years! And because what is life without something to look forward to? And I think having an extra day is just exactly what we all need. Right?!
The week was everything a week usually is. Sunday started with me doing the art market which was meh. There wasn’t exactly a bustling crowd out there looking to look or buy art but what are you gonna do. Still was good to get out there though. Then the mr and I bought a truck! Funny thing is it was my moms truck. She wanted help selling it and we just said “screw it” we need a truck, have been looking for a truck, so we told her we would just buy it off her. And we did. So we unburied it from the snow, had some lunch with my mom, then drove the truck away and parked it in the driveway over here. Haven’t touched it since because out of all the time (a year plus) that we could have really really really used a second car and or a truck, this week we just didn’t need either. I guess that is just how that shit goes.
We have also become fish people. The mr has been wanting to get fish again for a while. I have never been that keen on fish but whatever, he likes them. Anyway, we grabbed the littles (Miley ditched us for a friend…. again!) and headed off to the fish store. Oh was that a hoot. Judah was feeling like crap, Coco was being a little monster, the mr was just trying to pick out some fish, and I was just kind of laughing and being bossy. When we finally picked out and bagged up the fish (we ended up with 10), I headed to the register while the mr and Judah chased down a temper tantrum having Coco. I suppose it was everything one could expect from a trip to the pet store with kids. On the way home for dinner Judah named half of the fish. Waterboy, Creamy, Fish Stick, Red, and Wood chip. Then there are five little ones that all look the same, so I named them all Skittles.
And the rest of the week. I tried to get work done, a little paper stuff, tax stuff, pottery stuff. The mr has been out of the house most days running around as usual. I also have been trying to figure out this online store building shit and that is just blowing my brains out. I have been persistent and have made a lot of progress so I think by this time next week I will have my online store up and running and you can all go and buy all the rainbows, mugs, and bowls you heart desires! HAHA!
Then Valenitne days. We are low key people. Don’t need much, no fancy dinners, no chocolate, and hell no roses. We just want to spend time together. What we usually do is go pick out a Valentines day plant together, which we did, and go hiking, but because it was so freaking cold we just ended up going for a drive and getting coffee. When it is -5 below, you just don’t want to hike much, ya know?
After a quiet day Friday we spent yesterday running around doing Saturday errands (food, post office, studio, library, etc). The mr had to go back to the pet store and get a few new fish because one of the fish we brought home was a dickhead and was killing the other fish so that had to be dealt with. Poor Waterboy and Red. May they rest in peace. Then we came home to clean and called it a day because we are excting people.
Today is going to go how it goes. I decided not to do the market today and just spend a good amount of time throwing pots. The mr hasn’t been feeling all that well the past few days so I am going to try and convince him to take it easy today, maybe grab a book for himself, eat some soup (it is soup Sunday after all) and stop his brain from all his brain thinking activities. It’s way to easy to go a little crazy this time of year. People are starting to get the cabin fever! (Not me though, I am still a happy camper with all the cold and snow 😃)
